Description: The Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) was founded by the HKSAR Government in 2000 with a mission of enhancing Hong Kong’s competitiveness in technology based industries through applied research. Owing to the continuous expansion in our R&D activities, we are seeking qualified professionals to fill the following position(s):
Job Duty:
? Perform thermal simulation for optimizing the heat dissipation structure and mechanical design;
? Perform outsource allocation for fabricating mechanical parts and system integration based on the engineering specification of products and working schedule in project execution; and
? Support other R&D projects under the guidance of R&D director.
Requirement:
? Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline;
? 2+ years experience in mechanical and thermal design;
? Familiar with CAD software (SolidWorks or Pro/E) and CFD software (Flortherm or Icepak);
? Experience in LED thermal solution especially in LED BLU or LED projector is preferred;
? Familiar mechanical design & stress analysis;
? Familiar with CNC machining processes and mass production processes such as stamping, injection, die casting and etc., is a plus;
? Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills; and
? Team player and good command of oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
Application: Appointment will be on renewable contract terms with a competitive salary and performance-linked variable pay. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical and dental benefits, insurance coverage and contribution to MPF. The incumbent will normally work under a five-day week schedule.
