Iceboard 1.0, the new board-level analysis tool from Fluent Inc., allows board designers to seamlessly integrate with their ECAD tool of choice and perform thermal validations of populated boards. Easy to use wizards allow a choice of thermal models for critical components and a streamlined solution process enables users to get rapid turnaround times.
Model Import Modeling and Solution Capabilities Power setup allows users to change any power values that might have been specified during the import process. It also allows users to set temperature limits for components so that Iceboard can warn if the component exceeds the specified temperature during simulation. Can place components either on top or bottom of the board after import Can move components on the board with the mouse or position components more accurately using coordinates. 3d mouse-based view manipulation with dynamic rotation, translation and zoom.
